Written and Translated by xiahjunjjyu. Fan account of 2016 XIA THE BEST BALLAD SPRING TOUR CONCERT vol.2 in JAPAN, Tokyo 31st March 12:30 Performance.
This is going to be a long one. I’m going to translate and summarise all the talk ments and am going to insert my comments as well, all in one post. So if you do want to read it, please read when you have ample amount of time  . Forgive any grammatical errors, it’s a long post.

The concert started of with a VCR with a big L written and effects like a cutting transmission. For those who are aware of the Death note story, L puts in an actor to play him and Light looking at the actor’s face wrote the name in the death note. However, for death note to work, the person writing the name should know the name and the face of the person. In the VCR, Junsu acting as ‘L’ says the dialogue corresponding to after that scene. Junsu narrates this whole dialogue in Japanese. It gave me chills. You could clearly tell how Junsu maintained to act so well whilst speaking a language he is not completely fluent in.

1. ゲームの始まり (The Game Begins) from Musical DEATHNOTE 2. 변함없는 진실 (Unchanging truth) from Musical DEATHNOTE

The Game Begins was sung with the Japanese lyrics where as the remaining three songs were sung by Junsu with the Korean lyrics.

~Talk Ment 1~
Junsu started off with, “did you want to meet me? It will be a concert starting from 12:30 pm, from lunch time.” And fans yelled “thank you”. I said Thank you to Junsu from the bottom of my heart. It was just soo difficult to obtain a ticket this time. He said that this is really the first time that he is having a concert at this time. He said that it will become a unusual atmosphere and that he wants to go ahead with a more refreshing feel. He introduced the previously sung Death note musical numbers. He said “the game begins and what was the other song called… anyways”. He said that he isn’t completely like L today and that originally he had a messy hair style and asked how he looked right now. Fan said ‘cool’ and Junsu said ‘cool? thank you, I wanted to hear this’. He was a bit worried if he’ll be able to perform well but after doing the opening, he said after looking at the audience faces he felt that it’s totally no problem. He said today is unique, he doesn’t think he’ll do a concert again at this time again and that while thinking about it he’ll concentrate more and perform.
Performing two times on one day must have been physically so straining but I have no words but to be grateful for Junsu to have undertaken this. As so many fans missed out a chance to attend, myself included. Hearing Junsu being worried if he wasn’t performing well, just shows how dedicated he is. The whole performance was certainly perfection!
3. 죽음의 게임 (Game of Death) from Musical DEATHNOTE 4. 놈의마음속으로 (Inside His heart) from Musical DEATHNOTE
~VCR 1~
The VCR showed footage from the previous B&M concert in Seoul and the BEST BALLAD concert vol.1 in 2014.
5. 너무 아픈 사랑은 사랑이 아니었음을 (Love that is too painful was not love after all) by 김광석 (Kim Kwang seok)
Junsu sang this song with more of a ballad feel than as he sang during the December musical.
6. 오늘따라 보고싶어서 그래 (Because I miss you more today) by Davichi 7.그 남자 (That Man) by Baek Jiyoung
This song is my ultimate favourite. It has always been in my bucket list to hear Junsu sing 그 남자 live. It was absolutely amazing and much more.
~Talk Ment 2~
Junsu said he wanted to introduce some of the songs that he likes from other singers so he prepared them. He said that the two songs he performed are both by female singers. He said that they are his acquaintances. He said it’s not that I am close with them, but I am acquainted with them. He said that they are not close but have a connection. He explained about Baek Jiyoung, explaining his connection with her. That she is married to the male actor in his agency, then asks isn’t this a deep connection?
Then he said, “though it’s morning. oh, it’s noon, I have gotten caught up a lot. The power I am receiving from everyone, the love from everyone is reaching till here. Am I wrong? Aren’t you sending love here? I thought it is probably love.”
~Genie time~
This concert’s genie time was soo memorable again. Though Junsu sings so well and hearing his voice live is a treat on it’s own, but Genie time has to be by far one of the prime reasons why I would go to his concert again and again.
Junsu said that since Sicisici (his bodyguard) can’t understand Japanese I will back bite about him a bit (laugh). He said that his face now for a 26-27 yr old is ok just make you think that he may have worked hard, or worked too hard, but 4 years ago when Junsu first met him, his face was exactly the same (according to Junsu, Sicisici was probably 21-22 yr old at that time).
He again asked about who came to his stage for the first time. He found one person and asked her why she came now after so long? with what reason. Fan said, I liked you so reversely couldn’t come. Junsu reacted by saying ‘that’s a lie’. He said yesterday one person said that she couldn’t come because it was far, she was from Okinawa. Junsu said, ‘that I will accept, but this one is not’. Then ended up with ‘it was a joke’.
First genie time wish was O/X game. Junsu said he wants to choose something different this time. When Sicisici handed Junsu the file, Junsu said his expression looks bad. Junsu said, it’s a sign, if the expression is bad then this (i.e. the genie time wish) is not a good one. “Please answer with either O or X (i.e. true or false)”
Q. I like gold more than purple for the car color. / O
Junsu said he doesn’t have a purple colored car. Fans reminded him, so he said, oh that was in the past, I have changed it, I returned it.
Q. I like Hikiwari-natto more than Kotsu-natto. / X
He didn’t know what is called Kotsu and Hikiwari, but the fan had the pictures attached and he saw the pictures and understood. They both are the kinds of beans used for natto. Junsu said he just thought all of them is called natto.
Q. I like Hitsumabushi more than Una don (T/N: short for Unagi don, grilled eel on top of white rice). / O
Junsu said he hasn’t eaten Una don yet. He said if he were to eat Una don, he would rather eat Hitsumabushi.
Q. Have you ever have an out of body experience (T/N: Yutairidatsu in Japanese, Junsu’s favourite Japanese word). / X
He said that he doesn’t believe in ghosts.
Q. During Deathnote, the collar of the shirt was pulled too much and wanted a new one. / O
Junsu had a bit of a tough time trying to read this question but he got around to understanding it. He said it did get pulled a lot, he couldn’t concentrate due to that, that something is being seen (Junsu laughs).
Q. Will you soon come back to Japan / O
Junsu started off answering with ‘what does soon exactly mean’. A male fan yelled ‘summer’. Junsu hesitatingly said O.
Second wish was by far the best one I have personally experienced. A male fan was chosen. He had a paper saying ‘otoko(man/male)’. After reading his request Junsu said ‘can you do it? ah maybe you can but I might not be able to’. The fans’s wish was “Please dance to tarantallegra together with me.” The male fan came on stage. Junsu asked him, ‘from where did you come from in Japan’, he answered Tokyo, Junsu, ‘from where in Tokyo’, he said nakano-ku, Junsu said ‘ah, never heard of that’. Then Junsu said, You look like an idol. The fan answered that he is working as an idol. Junsu said, ‘definitely something is different, you don’t give a normal feeling. and your 21 years old.’ The fan replied and said, ‘I like Junsu san and so started activities as a singer’. Junsu said that he himself might have forgotten Tarantallegra’s dance. Junsu asked for the name of his group, he said “ADDICTION”. I heard a fan in the hall go ‘ah’ with signs of recognition (I don’t know much.. :/). A four membered group, Junsu told everyone to please pay attention to them. Junsu asked, ‘what are you incharge of? it might not be oyaji gag’. Fan answered that he is the maknae. Junsu said that in Tohoshinki, he had the maknae’s atmosphere, said that he has this connection with the male fan. The fan was really good at dancing tarantallegra. Junsu stopped after a bit, due partly i assume to having forgotten the steps and he seemed to panting as well. Junsu commented, ‘ah, you are young’. Junsu said, ‘ah different atmosphere was made. For the last wish, he sang ‘Love is like a snowflake’ (Nice Guy OST). He flipped the file on his on, stopped at this song and immediately said, I will sing then. He flipped it more and settled at a Mozart song, said that this will be the last as it’s been a long time since he sang it. (I can’t find the name of that song from the Musical Mozart) ~Talk Ment 3~
Next, Junsu said that we’ll change the atmosphere with a Jazz bar feel. Instead of Jazz (with a z) Junsu said Jajj (with a j sound). Junsu said that recently his pronunciation has gotten worse, yesterday he mistakenly said Ginja (instead of Ginza, name of a place in Tokyo), he got scolded by the fans. He said Ginza several times that Harajuku (another name of a place in Tokyo) became Harazuku (pronunciation of ‘z’ particles is difficult as Korean does not have this pronunciation). He said he has never once mistakenly mispronounced Harajuku before.
He said yesterday two ex dancers from during the Tohoshinki time came and asked him if he purposely mistakenly said Ginja instead of Ginza in order to make people laugh, Junsu said that no, it wasn’t on purpose. The two ex dancers said that Junsu’s Japanese has gotten better than before, but Junsu was shocked and said wasn’t my Japanese better before. They said before your Japanese was more clearer and good use of the words but now Junsu just says things as they come to him even if he’s wrong, as a concept and as realistically he wanted to show it. He said before it was 5 people, when the rest of them are perfect and I am not then i’ll be treated as an idiot. But right now i’m alone so I will not be made to an idiot. The ex dancers said that Junsu stage is not just done by himself but together with the audience. Junsu, ‘from the audience (pause), that’s right. we don’t even need words’.
Then he introduced the guitarist and keyboard player accompanying him. He asked them to tell some interesting things, then asked what his first experience was (N: i think he meant love experience), the guitarist said it’s too interesting. Then Junsu asked when did you first start playing the guitar, he answered and Junsu said that this is not so interesting. Junsu asked the same, what is your first experience to the keyboardist, who following the previous qs answered when i was 10 (i.e. starting playing the keyboard). Junsu said that’s why you are a genius (lol). Fans asked when Junsu’s was, Junsu replied, “Don’t ask!”
The next three Japanese songs were performed with just a guitar and keyboard like a Jazz bar feel. All three of them were so good. As Junsu talks about it later in the Talk Ment 4, the lyrics with the melody of the song was so beautiful. The whole hall went silent.

~Talk Ment 4~
Junsu said he loves Jpop ballads. He said that the lyrics, such as for love, the expressions used is very beautiful and the simile/metaphors. Junsu said simile/metaphor and all the fans went ooo, Junsu said he just randomly used it, didn’t know if it was correct. He said that when you hear these Japanese songs, the lyrics sounds so beautiful. Not just expressions of love but for like friendship and songs giving courage. He said he receives courage from Jpop songs as well. He said Jpop ballads have their own charm. Junsu. “Though everyone already is aware of these songs but I wanted to let everyone hear my favourite songs through my own voice as well.”
10. 君じゃない誰かなんて (Kimi janai dareka nante; trans: Some one who is not you) by DEEP
I couldn’t find english lyrics available already for this song. Later I will translate the lyrics of this song. The lyrics are very sad. Kimi janai dareka nante is one half of the complete sentence. One of the lines in the song is ‘kimi janai dareka nante iranaiyo’ which translates to ‘I don’t want someone who is not you’, so you could translate the title of the song to “Someone who is not you”.
11. XIA Orchestra Medley
Medley included 꼭 어제 (Yesterday), 사랑숨 (Love breath), Love you more, License to Love, Flower, Musical in Life,

XIA Maestro was so handsome and amazing. Moving the conductor stick like a pro. The orchestra was so amazing as well.

Junsu, “ah everyone you have so much energy, at lunch time. What do you do normally during this time to relieve this energy.”, listens to fans, “you watch the dvd of my live? while watching my live in your living room, you (jump up)? That has to be a lie. ah, that i would love to see that in a hidden camera. So if you are jumping together with me in the video while watching my dvd.. wa.. that is, thank you very much.”
Junsu, “the most earliest I had a concert was at 5 pm.” (fans: 3 pm). Had concert at 3 pm in Tokyo dome and Nagoya but 3 pm is still different from 12:30 pm. A few rows in the front centre were still standing so Junsu asked them to sit down because he is being careful of everyone’s age. Junsu said though he exerted his energy, he received that energy by times two. He said even in the past at times when he didn’t feel so good, when he got on stage he felt amazing. Junsu, “everyone is my doctor. when I hear your presence, everything gets cured. Thank you very much.” Junsu said, “I am aiming for a really realistic concert. So after the last song if you yell my name. If it is not a voice from your heart.”
A fan screamed to Junsu ‘you look like a baby’. To this Junsu said, ‘i’m not sure how I feel about that’. This got Junsu asking a question regarding calling a man cute is not a compliment. He thinks that it’s not a bad thing but it’s not a good thing either. A fan yelled ‘but Jun chan is cute’, Junsu replied, “no matter what I do I am cute?”
Junsu said, “in my twenties when I was called cute, I didn’t think of it as bad but I didn’t hear it as only a good thing but right now more than that time, it’s.. ah I can’t remember the word.. embarrassing. wonder why  I couldn’t remember. (comment: Junsu was too cute at this point, having his both arms crossed over his chest to explain the word he was searching for). Though it’s really embarrassing, it’s really nice. Though I am not aiming for that, my real charm is not that. I will show after 5 years. when I can show adult things. I am prepared from my side but everyone is not prepared. till all my fans become 20 years old. At that time, I will (show) the real, till Junsu’s limit, real charisma. ah excuse me.. I don’t know what I’m saying.”

~Encore~ 17.참예뻐요 (You are so pretty) from Musical 빨래 (Laundry)
Junsu introduced this song. He said he had just heard the song and didn’t know anything about the musical. He went to see the musical after the Nagoya concert and heard the song at the actual performance and he cried. He said that he thought this song had a atmosphere which makes you feel better like a confession but it was very different from what he thought, it had a sad atmosphere and he was surprised. He introduced the story of the musical of a Mongolian man falling in love with a Korean woman, and that though our skin is different I like you. Junsu said the message he wants to give from this song is that “You are all pretty, since the color of our skin is the same (laughs)”
He said what he likes about Musicals is that each song comes at the right time with the flow of the acting and script and makes you touched, and that is what he aims at in musicals. He also said that if really possible he wants to do a musical in Japan as he is always doing it in Korea, Japanese fans always come to Korea and he is thankful so he wants to do it in Japan as well. If possible, he’d like to do it with other Japanese actors in Japanese or do one nonetheless.
Junsu was about to say his usual line of if it gets later than this, but it’s just 3:00 pm so Junsu said I don’t have an excuse now. Then he mentions school, but everyone says that it is spring holiday now so Junsu said that he was worried students had bunked class and come, so now he is relieved. Then he talks about his student life, he says that he was always close to his teachers, he said that he was a good student, he wouldn’t do anything that they said not to. Fan asked him about his love experience. To which Junsu said, “what i can say for sure is that I had no experience before 20 yrs old. Because i was a trainee and they said that dating will be a distraction. Though i was really popular.” Fans went ehh, and Junsu said that this wasn’t a good feeling. Junsu, “is it okay if I compliment myself a little? well since it’s my stage I will. In my neighbourhood there was no girl who didn’t know my name.”
And finishes it off with introducing the dancers and the orchestra band members. Junsu in the pinkish peach sweater and light blue bottoms was too handsome and cute. The spring colors suit Junsu so well.
18. Reach
Before attending the concert myself I read a fan’s tweet from the previous (03/30) concert, it said how the International Forum hall concert was very special and how every Junsu fan be able to attend it. The Hall was very small and thus the sound quality was way good. In the small hall Junsu’s voice was more clear and beautiful. Listening to Junsu’s ballads, it was a beautiful experience. The sound system was set to a closer proximity and the sound was louder than I have heard before. The lighting concept of the whole concert was purple, it was so pretty, the blue light fan project with the purple stage lighting was so pretty as well.
I read about a Junsu fan looking for a ticket for the Tokyo concert in order to take her mom, who was also a Junsu fan. The International forum has parking included so it would have been easier to take her old aged mom together and since it is a ballad concert her mom would enjoy it more as compared to Junsu’s solo concert. While at the venue, I saw a woman in a wheelchair and the smile on her face that I saw. It reminded me of this case that I read and it just made me want to share.

JYJ’s Junsu Announces Spring Comeback

JYJ’s Junsu fans rejoice!
According to his agency, during the final section of Junsu’s concert in Tokyo, which was a part of his “2016 XIA the Best Ballad Spring Tour Concert Vol. 2 in Japan,” a surprise preview video was shown announcing his newest comeback.
A representative from CJ Entertainment reveals, “Junsu will be making a comeback this May with his fourth full-length (studio) album. He will focus on his album production as soon as his current Japan tour is finished, and will set off on another Asia tour, starting with Seoul, in June. ”
The video also announced other locations for the tour, such as Nagoya, Kobe, and Tokyo.
Meanwhile, Junsu’s concerts in Nagoya and Tokyo brought in 30,000 audience members.

Kim Jun-su sings ‘Descendants of the Sun’ soundtrack for first time

Kim Jun-su of JYJ performed the soundtrack of “Descendants of the Sun” for the first time on Wednesday at his concert in Tokyo.

During the concert, Kim became a genie making fans’ three wishes come true. For one of the wishes, a Japanese fan asked him to give a live performance of the drama’s soundtrack.

“It’s the most popular drama in Korea. I participated in singing the original soundtrack,” Kim said. “The song was featured in the drama but hasn’t been released yet. But I am surprised that my Japanese fans know about it. This is the first time to perform the song live,” Kim said and sang parts of the song.

The last performance of Kim’s two-day concert, titled “2016 Xia the Best Ballad Spring Tour Concert vol.2 in Japan,” will take place at Tokyo International Forum on Wednesday evening.

[by Bae Jung Yun] Kim Jun Su had a special spring concert with 15,000 fans in Tokyo, Japan.

CJeS Entertainment said, “On March 30 and 31, Kim Jun Su holds Japan ballad spring tour ‘2016 XIA THE BEST BALLAD SPRING TOUR CONCERT vol.2 in JAPAN’ at the International Forum Hall in Tokyo and meets his 15,000 fans. Japanese fans, who met Kim Jun Su after 5 months, gave a round of applause for his sweet live and various performances.”

He glamorously rearranged and performed the main performance of his musical ‘Death Note’ and sjpwed amptjer attraction of him. The musical is a cartoon, which is receiving great popularity from Japanese people. When he appeared on the stage as the main character L, an enthusiastic acclamation came out from the audience.

Concert staff said, “There was an explosive reaction toward the L’s stage since the character received great popularity in Japan. Particularly, Kim Jun Su’s remarkable expression and subtle acting increased the completeness of performance and made the performance just like watching a musical stage. Local staffs were surprised by his powerful energy and stage presence and it served as a momentum of proving his position in the musical industry once again.”

He performed Japanese ballad songs ‘Get The Groove’ by Fukuyama Masaharu and ‘The Person Other Than You’ by DEEP during the concert. The fans sent a big applause for a loving message included in the lyrics and his sweet voice.

His performance was also special. He showed his live stage with thirty orchestra musicians. He transformed into a conductor and performed a surprising stage. Also, he presented a special fan service by personally going down to the auditorium and giving the audience a high five.

During the concert, he said, “Dear my fans, you are always so beautiful. Thank you so much. Your presence serves a great energy for me. I am getting so thankful enery from today’s concert. My fans are really pretty and beautiful.”

Directing and OST production crews have said they plan to put out Kim Junsu’s ‘겁이 나서 멈춰버린 너에게 (For you who had stopped getting scared away [tentative title])’ –with him as the last and 10th singer who will grace the finale of songs–.
The OST’s joint production company explained, “Although the order of the OST songs released up till now was arranged this way, naturally the directing and music directors had not exactly decided on it because they were making their decisions from watching the footage and music synchronization with the flow of the songs. This does not rule out the possibility the song title may change”.
