JYJ's Airport Fashion: Three Takes On Outers

JYJ were spotted a Incheon International Airport on December 22, heading off to Japan.
The three-member successful group hit the ground of Korea’s biggest airport today in comfy yet cool outfits. To fight against the cold, they expressed three different kinds of outer styling.
Kim Jae Joong went for a long, bi-fabric piece in wool with leather yokes on the pockets and wrists. He created an all black outfit that was slightly brightened up by the grey prints on his knit. Paired with his new hair color, this long coat somehow translated a few of his rock references, as well as confidence.
Park Yoo Chun played the layering card: the thicker, the merrier. Especially in this cold, icy weather. The actor opted for a thick blazer jacket that he wore under a semi-long wool coat in navy, letting its grey collar appear to add a bit of mystery to the silhouette. Jeans, a scarf and his signature classy shoes completed the look.
As for Kim Jun Su, the group’s fashionista never misses an ‘airport occasion’ to show that he knows about fashion. His wool and neoprene jacket made a new statement, making him one of this winter’s Airport Kings in the ‘Outer’ category. To take away the drama from this powerful item’s prints and colors, Kim opted for a total black look, expressing not only style but also humility.
Meanwhile, JYJ is on its way to Fukuoka where it will hold one of its last dates for this year’s Japan Tour.

JYJ’s TV ad for Water Forum revealed

The TV commercial for the upcoming World Water Forum featuring K-pop boy band JYJ was unveiled Tuesday.
JYJ’s label C-JeS Entertainment released on YouTube the TV ad made to promote the seventh World Water Forum, which will be held from April 12-17 in Daegu.
In the ad, JYJ campaigns for Korea’s ceaseless efforts to secure clean, safe water. It is narrated in English by JYJ member Yoochun.
The ad will be broadcast around the globe on foreign broadcasters such as the British news channel BBC and the U.S. cable news network CNN.
Besides serving as honorary ambassadors to the World Water Forum, JYJ has played a role in several other international events, most recently the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.
The three-member group is currently in Japan for the “2014 JYJ Japan Dome Tour.” Its most recent concert was in Osaka.

3 factors behind JYJ’s decade long global popularity

Hallyu group JYJ is staying busy these days with its concert tour and fan meetings.
While it has been a decade since the members debuted in the K-pop scene, their global fandom is stronger and firmer than any other idols.
Industry insiders say that three factors have helped the group sustain its heyday for a decade.

The first reason is its continuous concert tours.
After its second EP “JUST US” landed on Japan’s Oricon chart and the iTunes charts in seven countries last summer, the group conquered Asia through a two-month tour. Starting from August in Seoul, JYJ captivated thousands of Asian fans with advanced and sincere performances in Hong Kong, Beijing, Taiwan and other cities.
Right after the three-member group wrapped up the tour, it headed to Japan to hold its Dome tour. The idol group has already drawn 100,000 fans in Tokyo and 750,000 in Osaka so far. The group’s frequent concert tours have undoubtedly played a crucial role in building their global fandom.
The second factor is JYJ’s fan services.
Unlike many other idols, JYJ has actively held fan meetings.
JYJ holds an annual creative fan event called “JYJ Membership Week” to better communicate with fans. Under the theme of “All About JYJ” this year, fans were able to watch music videos, listen to music and touch members’ outfits. Participants, who can attend for free, are randomly chosen from among members of the fan club.
Jaejoong is also expected to celebrate his birthday with both Korean and Japanese fans in January by holding birthday events in each country.

The last main factor is the members’ passion for their individual pursuits.
While the three have been active as members of JYJ, they never hesitate to pursue individual projects.
Junsu has launched a solo career, been involved in the recording of original soundtracks and appeared in musicals such as “Dracula.” He will hold a solo concert later this month. The concert tickets sold out in 10 minutes, sources said. Following continuous requests for extra tickets, the agency made the unusual announcement that it would offer extra tickets on Dec. 27.
On the other hand, Jaejoon and Yoochun have focused on acting. Having starred in the MBC drama “Triangle,” Jaejoong won the best male actor award at the 2014 Korea Drama Awards. He is currently acting in the KBS drama “Spy,” which will kick off on Jan. 9.
Meanwhile, Yoochun appeared in the film “Sea Fog.” He won the best new male actor award at major Korean awards ceremonies including the 51th Grand Bell Awards and 35th Blue Dragon Awards this year.

In response to the question of whether he has any plans to appear on variety shows to promote the drama, Kim Jaejoong replied, “I think it’s been about five years since I appeared on a variety show. It’s been so long that I don’t really know which shows are popular these days.”
Announcer Jo Woo Jong who was officiating the briefing session chimed in, “These days the show ‘1 Night 2 Days’ and ‘Superman Returns’ are pretty popular,” to which Kim Jaejoong responded, “If I want to appear on ‘Superman Returns’ do I need to get married?” The room filled with laughter at his quirky question.

Park Yoo Chun has received the Best New Actor award at the Blue Dragon AwardsOn December 17, the 35th Blue Dragon Awards took place at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Jongno, where Park Yoo Chun received the Best New Actor Award.
Following his awards at the 51st Daejong Film Awards, the 15th Busan Film Critics Association, and the 4th SACF Beautiful Artists Awards, this will be his fifth award of the year.
Park Yoo Chun was up against Friend 2′s Kim Woo Bin, The King of Jokgu′s Ahn Jae Hong, The Attorney′s Im Si Wan, and The Divine Move′s Choi Jin Hyuk.
"I′m a little dazed to receive an award as soon as the ceremony started, but I′m sincerely grateful," said Park Yoo Chun.
"First off, I learned that a large number of people suffer in order to film a movie while I was filming my first movie," said Park Yoo Chun. "I learned that acting is not an easy thing and studied even more. I sincerely thank you for this great award for my first movie."
"I think that my family who is here and my father in heaven will be very proud of me," continued Park Yoo Chun. "I sincerely thank the Sea Fog team. I′ll work hard in acting."
Sea Fog is about six crew members of a ship that try to smuggle illegal immigrants into Korea. Park Yoo Chun played the youngest member of the group, Seok Won, cutting off the tag of ′acting-dol′ and receiving the name ′rookie movie actor.′
The 35th Blue Dragon Awards is an award ceremony that looks back on all the Korean films that premiered in the past year. Through a selection process by professionals, surveys, and netizen voting, 18 different awards, including Best director, Best Leading Actor and Actress, Best Support Actor and Actress, and more, are given.

K-pop idol Jaejoong, a member of JYJ, will hold a fan meeting titled “2015 Kim Jae Joong J-Party” in Seoul on his 29th birthday, on Jan. 26, according to his agency CJeS Entertainment.
Before attending the Seoul fan meeting, he will hold fan events at Yokohama Arena in Japan on Jan. 21 and 22.
Through the events, the singer hopes to make special memories with his fans and celebrate his activities this year, including playing the lead role in the drama “Triangle” during the summer, the agency said.

He received the Best Actor Award at the 2014 Korea Drama Awards in October. The singer-actor’s next role will be as a South Korean agent in KBS’ drama “Spy,” to be aired in January.
“If this news (about the fan meetings) goes viral, we will be swamped with inquiries from his fans around the world,” the singer’s spokesperson said.
The tickets for the Seoul fan meeting will be available from 8 p.m. on Jan. 5, via online booking site Interpark.

Park Min Young Talks about Singing and Dancing to TVXQ′s Hug in ′Healer′

On December 16, Park Min Young brought up JYJ′s Kim Jae Joong, whom she′s worked with in Dr. Jin, during the location unveiling and press conference for KBS′ Healer in Paju.
On episode three of Healer, which aired on December 15, Park Min Young sang and danced to TVXQ′s Hug, receiving much attention. Receiving a question on this, Park Min Young answered, "The writer put in Hug in the scripts, and it said that I should dance to it excitedly. So I watched the video a lot."
"There′s a choreographed dance for the group and I practiced it, but it didn′t really show well," said Park Min Young. "I acted with Kim Jae Joong in my previous project. And someone I′m close with is close with Kim Jae Joong, so that person told Kim Jae Joong, ′Min Young is dancing to TVXQ,′ and he sent me the main points of the dance."
But Park Min Young brought out laughter as she said, "But it was so hard that I couldn′t dance it."
Healer is an action romance drama that began on December 8 and is receiving hot response.

The broadcaster revealed pictures of the actor on Monday participating in the first filming of drama.
In the photos, Jaejoong has a sharp and intense look about him, despite being injured in the arm. The scene was described as the actor visiting the National Intelligence Service to receive a new mission, despite his injuries.
“Even though it was first filming of the drama, Jaejoong acted in a natural and mature way, based on his perfect understanding of his character,” a production team official was quoted as saying.

Based on an Israeli drama, “Mice,” the thriller drama portrays story of Sun-woo and his mother, a former North Korean spy played by Bae Jong-ok.
The drama will air two episodes in a row from 9:20-11 p.m. every Friday, starting Jan. 9.

Kim Jaejoong transformed into a charismatic NIS agent in the KBS2TV’s new Friday Miniseries Spy.
Kim Jaejoong plays an NIS intelligence analyst with brilliant mind and superb observation skills, Seonwu, in Spy, which will premiere on January 9.
He is a cool-headed professional but is an affectionate son to his loving mom Heyrim(Bae Jongok) and a sweet lover to his girlfriend Yunjin(Go Seonghi).
Kim Jaejoong heated up the filming location with his blazing stares from the first shooting. Even though Seonwu was injured and on a cast, he went to receive his new mission.
Kim Jaejoong expressed a vigilant agent at high alert a 100%, wearing a cast on his arm. Viewers’ anticipation on the genius NIS agent that Kim Jaejoong will portray with his unique charms is heightened.
Kim Jaejoong arrived at the filming location hours before filming to have his cast on and perfectly prepare for expressing injured Seonwu.

JYJ Spends Unforgettable Moments with 75,000 Fans in Osaka Dome
JYJ met with 75,000 fans over two days in Osaka Kyocera dome.
On December 13 and 14, JYJ launched its first ever Japan dome tour 2014 JYJ Japan Dome Tour Ichigo Ichie in Kyocera dome, carrying out its second dome concert since the Tokyo dome concert in November. A total of 75,000 audience members attended Kyocera dome concert over two days, selling out all tickets.
As soon as the concert was over, JYJ posted behind-the-scene photos from the concert on its official Facebook and wrote, “The best stage and once in a life time meeting! All thanks to you all.”
During this dome tour, JYJ presented songs from its 2010 world wide album The Beginning, the tracks from the first and second albums as well as Wake Me Tonight, presented for the first time during Tokyo dome concert, showing the history of JYJ. The fans that filled the dome cheered enthusiastically as they enjoyed the fantastic performances.
They also sang the happy birthday song for Kim Junsu along with the fans and made a promise to meet again for Christmas. The dome concert hall was filled with JYJ’s perfect live performances and the members’ sincere hope to interact with the fans, presenting fans with a once in a lifetime concert.
Having wrapped up Osaka dome concert following Tokyo dome concert, JYJ will be continuing 2014 JYJ Japan Dome Tour Ichigo Ichie in Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome on December 23 and 24.
