JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong Meets with 2,000 Japanese Fans Prior to Enlisting in Army

C-JeS Entertainment announced on March 16, “Kim Jae Joong held the fan meeting titled 2015 All of Jae Joong on March 15 at Kyung Hee University’s Grand Peace Palace. Around 2,000 Japanese fans came to Korea in order to meet Kim Jae Joong. This is the biggest number out of all the Japanese fans that headed to Korea in recent days.”
On this day, Kim Jae Joong showed up in a bowtie and tuxedo, going along with the concept of ‘award ceremony.’ ‘Kim Sun Woo’ from KBS 2TV’s Spy was named the winner of the ‘Best Sexy Award’ during the fan meeting, which brought out the most enthusiastic response from the fans.
One Japanese affiliate stated, “Spy is a new type of a family-intelligence drama and is known to be a high quality project. Anticipation has already been rising in Japan for another transformation of actor Kim Jae Joong.”
Kim Jae Joong heat up the ‘award ceremony’ by singing Protect the Boss OST titled I’ll Protect You, the tracks from his first solo mini album One Kiss and more. JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun and Kim Junsu also caught attention by sending their warm words through the video message.
Lastly, Kim Jae Joong named the fans the winner of the ‘Achievement Award’ and said, “You’ve all worked hard for 10 years. The fans are the biggest achievement that I’ve made in my life. Thank you,” and gave out White Day candies that he prepared for the fans.
Meanwhile, Kim Jae Joong will be meeting with the fans in Korea through The Beginning of The End concert on March 28 and 29 in Korea University’s Hwa Jeong Gymnasium prior to enlisting in the army.

The side of Jae Joong with clown make-up, showed him with a sad expression, and created a dreamy sexy mood.
Meanwhile, Kim Jae Joong recently concluded filming for his KBS 2TV Friday drama ‘SPY, where he played the role of Kim Sun Woo, who was an ordinary boy in front of his mother, but is actually an elite agent, and drew much praise from viewers for his acting.

JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun hasn’t interacted much with his co-star Shin Se Kyung yet
When asked about Shin Se Kyung with whom he would be acting opposite with, Park Yoo Chun said, “I am not that close with her. We never really got to interact during our script reading session, and we didn’t sit at the same table when we had a get-together.”
He added, “I was really happy during the script reading session. The director (Baek Soo Chan) is someone who makes you feel at ease. Everyone involved had a drink together after everything had ended.”

They are both joining the army on the 31st of March. They've revealed how close they are through television, so many are wondering if they are serving National Duty together.
Kim Jae-joong's agency claimed, "They haven't been in close contact these days and they're not going on duty together".

“Sensory Couple,” an upcoming drama starring Park Yoochun of JYJ and actress Shin Se Kyung, has released its first teaser video.
In the video, Shin Se Kyung’s character introduces Park Yoochun’s
character in a voice-over. His character, Choi Mu Gak, is a charismatic
policeman who has no senses. Shin Se Kyung’s character, on the other
hand, has a unique ability to see smells. Although she says that he is
an “insensitive guy,” at the end of the video, she admits in a
voiceover, “But why do I want to smile whenever I meet him?”
The upcoming SBS drama is based on the webtoon of the same title. It also stars Namgoong Min and Yoon Jin Seo.
“Sensory Couple” will premiere on April 1, after the completion of “Hyde, Jekyll, Me.”

Choi Mugak / A Cop Who Lost His Senses
Before becoming a cop, he was an aquarist in an aquarium. Three years ago, he lost his sister who was a victim in the ‘barcode murder’. Even though Mugak is a cop, he only learned what ‘barcode murder’ is after a long time.
After losing his sister, Mugak endured without eating and sleeping for 20 days. When there were talks that Choi Mugak may die in that condition, he was found unconscious in a shark tank in an aquarium in Jeju Island.
Subsequently after this incident, Mugak who fell into a coma gained consciousness after 6 months. But there was something wrong with his body. Strangely, he lost his sensory system and ability to smell. His nervous system strangely could not register pain (agony).
It’s like analgesia. [T/N: A medical term for the loss of the ability to feel pain while in a conscious state.]
After losing his sense of smell, because he could smell absolutely nothing, even when there’s a stench from a corpse at the murder scene, he does not need to wear a mask. (This could be mistaken as being manly).
Since he had lost his ability to taste, he does not know the flavor of food. Nevertheless, he’s a glutton. No matter how tasteless the food is, he doesn’t stop until he has eaten up three servings. (This could be mistaken as being manly).
Because he does not feel pain, no matter how bad he is being hit by a criminal during a fight, he fights with the criminal endlessly until he overpowers him. When the pain exceeds its limit, he does not feel it but only faints. (This could be mistaken as being manly).
He has no smiles or tears. He can be called, “emotionless” and he is considerably emotionally dry. He is unable to feel love towards women. With his good looks and laddish charm, ladies are drawn towards him but Mugak’s extreme dullness makes them lose interest. He is so dry to the point that he does not have a love life and social life for him is challenging.
Arresting the murderer of his sister is his life goal. Because of that, he gave up his favorite profession as an aquarist to become a cop. It has been 3 years since the murder took place but not even a clue is found and the case falls into a maze.

‘The Girl Who Sees Smells’ tells the story of a man named Choi Tae Ho (Park Yoo Chun) who lost his younger sister three years ago in the ‘barcode murder’ case, and a woman named Oh Cho Rim (Shin Se Kyung) who miraculously survived from the same incident, but has gained supernatural senses in the process. Besides the tension and suspense, the drama will also depict a romance between a couple who help each other heal from a tragic past.
Park Yoo Chun plays a detective named Choi Moo Gak, who has lost his senses. He expressed in a recent interview that he had decided on starring in the drama, because he was attracted by the role and storyline. Park Yoo Chun also made mention of his previous drama ‘Rooftop Prince’ in 2012, “I am actually also looking forward to working alongside writer Lee Myung Hee, having worked previously with her on ‘Rooftop Prince.’ I am really delighted to be working alongside so many talented people on the production.”
Writer Lee Myung Hee of ‘The Queen of Ambition’ and ‘Rooftop Prince’ will pen the script for ‘The Girl Who Sees Smells,’ while Baek Soo Chan of ‘Pure Pumpkin Flower’ and ‘Bride from Vietnam’ will direct. ‘Haemoo’ invited by New York film festival

“Haemoo,” a movie starring singer-turned-actor Park Yoo-chun, was officially invited to the New Directors New Films festival, which kicks off on March 28 in New York, the film’s distribution company, Next Entertainment World, said Monday. |

The festival, jointly hosted by the Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of the Lincoln Center, selects the most remarkable rookie directors every year. This time, the movie director Shim Sung-bo was invited as the only Korean among the 26 full-length films.
Haemoo is based on the true story of fishing crews smuggling illegal immigrants into Korea in 2001. The film was already invited to the Toronto International Film Festival and the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
“The invitation is as if someone stands behind me when climbing a mountain,” said the director in a media interview.
The film’s producer, Bong Joon-ho, said, “This festival is very meaningful for a rookie director. We are very grateful that New York’s moviegoers have paid so much attention to the film.”
Shim is set to leave for New York next week to meet local fans during the festival.

"The cast remained mostly solid till the end, with obvious standouts being Jaejoong, Jo Dal-hwan as Hyun-tae, and Ryu Hye-young as Eun-ah, who each showed a special dedication to their roles. Hyun-tae and Eun-ah’s roles especially could have come off much flatter, but Hyun-tae was humanized by his struggle to do right by his fallen partner and his inherent goodness as a person, while Eun-ah came off as surprisingly real and just plain human. I’m going to miss them.
Despite the structural failings that ultimately resulted from an unfocused script, this was still a fitting pre-military sendoff for Jaejoong, who’s proven himself a capable leading actor even in unfavorable circumstances. While I’d point to Triangle as his breakout role, what both shows had in common was that they required a relative acting newbie to carry them on his shoulders, which is what made both performances all the more memorable. Of course, that’ll only make the next two Jaejoong-less years all the more difficult to swallow, which I’m pretty sure is the whole point. No one ever said loving Oppa was easy."

Upcoming SBS TV Wed-Thu drama ‘The Girl Who Sees Smells,’ has today released new photos of Park Yoo Chun and Shin Se Kyung, who had filmed the opening scene of the drama recently.
The drama is based on a popular web toon of the same name, and tells the story of a man named Choi Tae Ho (Park Yoo Chun) who lost his younger sister three years ago in the ‘barcode murder’ case, and a woman named Oh Cho Rim (Shin Se Kyung) who miraculously survived from the same incident, but has gained supernatural senses in the process.
Park Yoo Chun plays a detective named Choi Moo Gak, who has lost his senses after an incident. In some of the photos, Park Yoo Chun is seen in uniform, while trying to stop a criminal. In another photo, he is seen carrying a bouquet of flowers, and demonstrated his warm charms.

Kim Jae Joong Wraps Up His Final Drama Role Before Enlisting

JYJ's Kim Jae Joong has finished his final drama role before enlisting. The action-packed, fast-paced drama "Spy" concluded this week with Kim's character finding a solution that allowed his family to live. In the final episode, plenty of lives were lost for the greed of a few but the drama sped toward a satisfying conclusion that allowed the good guys-and even some of the bad guys pretending to be good guys-to survive and live out their lives peacefully.
Kim found working on the drama to be a very satisfying experience.
"I was so happy working with the great actors in this drama," Kim said in an interview with asiatoday.co.kr. "It was so good I even wondered when I would ever be able to work with such great actors again. I am so sorry to let go of the drama that I am feeling 16 episodes were too short. Thank you for the support that you have shown until the last episode."
Kim posted behind-the-scenes images of the final days of shooting on his Facebook page. One of the images included his making a heart sign with his hands behind co-star Jo Dal Hwan, who played his loyal NIS colleague. His other co-stars included Go Sung Hee, who played his girlfriend, Bae Jong Ok, who played his mother, Yu Oh Sung, who played a North Korean spy, and Jung Won Joong, who played his father.
It's a fitting point in his acting career for Kim to start his mandatory military duty as he won praise for his last two successive drama roles. He played a shiftless gambler in the drama "Triangle." In "Spy he was a South Korean National Intelligence Service agent who discovers his mother was once a North Korean spy.
Kim has both drama and film appearances to his credit, having appeared in the films "Codename Jackal" and "Postman to Heaven," as well as having roles in the dramas "Dr. Jin" and "Protect The Boss."
According to his agency C-JeS Entertainment, Kim Jae Joong will start his 21-month mandatory military service on March 31. And now that his drama role is complete, he plans to spend his remaining days as a free man with family and friends.
He will also spend some time with his fans and stage a special event for them. The 2015 Kim Jae Joong Concert In Seoul - The Beginning of the End concerts will take place on March 28 and 29.
