Regarding Park Yu-chun’s upcoming solo album, Kim said he listened to the demo version of the title track and said “it truly shows his colors.”
“Yu-chun’s dropping a solo album on Monday. I’m not saying this as a fellow group member, but it’s really a beautiful song and you should look forward to it,” he said.
“He keeps saying that this will be his first and last solo album as a joke, but I think it makes no sense that this will be the last when it’s his first solo work in his 12-year career,” Kim added.
The musician also hinted at the music video to the title song, saying it is “star-studded.”
Meanwhile, member Kim Jae-joong, who is currently serving out his military duty, is also releasing a solo album in February, according to the singer.
This will mark his second solo album after the solo debut album “I,” released in January 2013. “I” logged a presales record of 120,000 albums and 200,000 albums overall, including the repackaged album.

Kim Jun-su controversy puts spotlight on ‘JYJ Act’
Updated : January 15 2016JYJ member Kim Jun-su’s exclusion from Thursday’s 2016 Seoul Music Awards is sparking a heated debate on the effectiveness of the so-called “JYJ Act.”
The controversy grew Thursday evening when Kim revealed on his Twitter account that he was not invited to the event despite winning the most popular artist of the year award.
This comes only a few months after the National Assembly passed a revision bill on Nov. 30, 2015, to toughen regulations on broadcaster’s unfair practices, such as banning certain musicians from making TV appearances or performing at annual awards events. It has since been called the JYJ Act.

The history behind the act can be traced to 2009 when three members of JYJ, including Kim, nullified their contract with SM Entertainment, citing unfair contract regarding profit share and the excessively long 13-year deal. The idols made their singing debut under SM Entertainment as members of quintet TVXQ.
The issue appeared to have been resolved in 2012 when the two parties agreed not to interfere in each other’s activities.
But such wrongful practices went on against JYJ, even after the Fair Trade Committee ordered the Union of Korean Pop Culture and Arts Industry to stop blocking the group’s activities in Korea, which was revealed to have been done in collusion with SM Entertainment.
Rep. Choi Min-hee of the main opposition Minjoo Party of Korea openly blasted the industry for the collective move and sponsored the bill in April 2015.
So when the controversy grew online this week, the 55-year-old lawmaker expressed disappointment on her official Twitter account Thursday, saying, “Kim’s fans have all the rights to accuse the organizers for their unfair practices. We’re making efforts to get the facts straight on why he was not invited.”

Park Yoochun to make solo debut with “How Much Love Do You Have In Your Wallet”
On January 15th, Park Yoochun revealed the music video teaser for his solo debut, “How Much Love Do You Have In Your Wallet.”
Although the JYJ member has enlisted in the military to complete his mandatory service, he will be releasing his solo debut album of the same title on January 18th.
The album is said to have been prepared in the midst of his busy drama and television schedule as he hoped to deliver a gift for fans. The title track is a mid-tempo ballad with a soft piano melody to accent his low and husky vocals. The song describes ordinary people who continue to live their lives, dreams on hold.
Although the music video teaser that has been released is still shrouded in mystery, not showing Yoochun’s face, fans have expressed their excitement for the upcoming tracks.

EXID member Hani burst into tears onstage when her cohost Jun Hyun-moo kept mentioning her boyfriend at the 2016 Seoul Music Awards on Thursday.
Throughout the event, Jun made a pun about her boyfriend and JYJ member Kim Jun-su’s name.
Hani finally couldn’t control her emotions when he told her that she looked good that day. The expression he used, “good-looking,” is a homophone of Junsu’s name.
For a second, it seemed like the hosts and the crowd were laughing at the joke he made. But suddenly, Hani burst into tears and tried to avoid being caught by the camera.

Many noted that it was simply not the perfect timing for the singer to appear on a live television.
The night before the ceremony, Hani made her first public reaction to the news of the couple’s dating on MBC “Radio Star.” She was already scheduled to appear on the show even before the news broke, so it was difficult to backtrack. On the show, she said the shooting was a burden because she knew she would end up talking about Kim, and that would likely offend some fans of the boy band member.
But most importantly, Hani was hosting the event where the JYJ member was not invited even when he was voted the most popular ballad singer of the season. It’s likely that she was going through an emotional storm, feeling sorry for having to look happy at a venues where her boyfriend was unwelcomed.
Kim had been blocked from performing on Korean TV music shows since 2009, in part due to a contract dispute with his former entertainment agency, SM Entertainment after he left TVXQ with other JYJ members.
After years-long legal battle, JYJ and SM Entertainment agreed in 2012 not to interfere in each other’s activities. More specifically, the agency has vowed to stop leading broadcasters to blacklist the trio and allow them to make musical promotions.
But it was not entirely a bad day for Hani, with her group EXID receiving an award.
Asked who came to mind at the moment, Hani said “My fans and my parents.”
She later added, “‘He’ is receiving the popularity award today. He wasn’t able to make it here but I’m very proud of him.”

The ’25th HIGH1 Seoul Music Awards’ was held last evening (January 24th) at the Olympics Gymnastics Arena at Olympic Park in Seoul, where Hani of EXID gained attention for talking about her boyfriend Kim Junsu of JYJ on stage.
Besides attending the awards ceremony as a member of EXID, and winning the Bonsang on the night, Hani was also a MC alongside Honey Lee and Jun Hyun Moo.
Hani said during EXID’s acceptance speech for the Bonsang award, “I am able to stand here because of the support from many people. And I was also able to become a MC. Many thanks to everyone, and I will continue to work hard.”
When Jun Hyun Moo asked Hani who she is thinking most about right now, Hani answered, “The fans and my parents.” But Hani knew that Jun Hyun Moo was trying to get her to say Kim Junsu, so she said, “He (Kim Junsu) wasn’t able to come in person today, but he won the popularity award. I am proud of him.”

Seoul mayor looks into why Kim Jun-su got snubbed at music awards

Seoul Mayor Park Won-sun has told JYJ Kim Jun-su’s fans that he is looking into the controversy involving the artist not being invited to the Seoul Music Awards.
Park, who has some acquaintance with the singer, on Thursday wrote on his Twitter account that he is “currently looking into the problem” and that he “vividly remembers Kim from the musical ‘December.’”

His remark was in response to a Twitter user who mentioned the mayor in a post that read “There should be some explanation on why Kim was not invited for unfair reasons, even when he was voted the most popular artist of the year in a 47-day ‘paid voting.’”
Other fans also sent the mayor and the city’s official Twitter account similar messages as the event was sponsored by the Seoul city government.
As the controversy grew online, the mayor responded to the Twitter users, vowing to make Seoul a “fair society.”
It is being speculated that the JYJ member was not invited due to pressure from the SM Entertainment which had a legal dispute with JYJ, whose members were formerly SM’s TVXQ.
JYJ had been blocked from performing on Korean TV music shows since 2009, in part due to a contract dispute. It was rumored that the agency had “threatened” broadcasters to blacklist the members on TV in return for allowing SM artists to appear on their shows.

While hosting the 25th Seoul Music Awards on January 14, EXID member Hani became visibly upset and tearful when her co-host Jun Hyun Moo mentioned her boyfriend Junsu of JYJ.
Hani and Jun Hyun Moo were joined by actress Honey Lee to host the show, and Jun Hyun Moo joked at the beginning, “There’s a Honey on one side of me and a Hani on the other! I’m not sure what I should do!”
“You should just enjoy it,” jokes Honey Lee, and the two female stars laugh and play around by putting their elbows on his shoulders.
Jun Hyun Moo then asks them what he should call them to make it easier. Hani replies, “Call me ‘Easy-going Hani’!”
Honey Lee comments on how pretty Hani is, and then Jun Hyun Moo turns to Hani and says, “You’re very good-looking today!” The word he uses for “good-looking” is a homonym of Junsu’s name, and the crowd erupts in screams at his pun.
Hani does not reply, and looks stunned and upset as Honey Lee says to Jun Hyun Moo with a laugh, “Don’t say things like that!” Jun Hyun Moo then makes a similar joke to Honey Lee. “Since you’re doing so well in work and love, how about ‘Got Honey’?” he asks her, and then spells out “g.o.d” with a laugh to clarify his pun about Honey Lee’s long-term boyfriend Yoon Kye Sang of g.o.d.
As the two are laughing, Hani turns away from the camera briefly to wipe her eyes and collect herself.
Junsu won the Popularity Award, which was voted on by fans online, at the Seoul Music Awards, but many fans are outraged that he was not invited to the show. It has been reported that producers have claimed that they decided not to present the award during the live ceremony in order to focus on “major award categories.”
Hani and Junsu have recently both been under the spotlight after officially confirming that they are dating on January 1.

Junsu fans were no doubt outraged when they discovered that Junsu never received an invite to attend the '25th Seoul Music Awards,' despite raking in nearly half of the votes under the ceremony's popularity category.
Indignant fans attempted to seek an explanation for this faux pas from 'The Minjoo Party of Korea's assemblywoman Choi Min Hee, raising their suspicions and questions regarding how the 'Seoul Music Awards' is operated. Fans directly addressed Choi on her Twitter, seeing that she was the one who had proposed the 'JYJ Law.'
Earlier, reps of 'Seoul Music Awards' had revealed that they would fully reflect the results of the subscription-based votes, which was conducted to determine Korea's most popular star of 2015. The results showed that Junsu was the most popular star this past year as he earned 46.7%, or nearly half, of the votes.
Though Junsu clearly placed first under the popularity category and reps from 'Seoul Music Awards' had stated that they would reflect the voting results, fans failed to hear or see any news of Junsu's invitation to the ceremony.
When fans raised this issue to 'Seoul Music Awards,' all they got was a vague response that went, "We formed this lineup based on the main prize category. We are not planning to send an invite to those under the popularity award category."
When Choi Min Hee got in touch with the 'Seoul Music Awards' organization committee, they reportedly told her, "We sent notice to Junsu's agency that we cannot invite the nominee of the popularity award."
Choi promised fans, "It's hard to wrap my head around this situation. If it turns out that there's unjustifiable cause, I will take care of it right away like I did with the 'JYJ Law.'"
Media outlet Insight tried reaching the committee but to no avail.
Junsu himself has spoken up about this controversy on his Instagram, writing, "I feel terrible. Though I'm alright, if I dare try to imagine how you all feel, I resent myself for not being able to answer to all your love and sincerity. My heart is tearing to pieces knowing my inability to do anything. I owe you once again. I'm sorry."

Hani reveals story of how she got to know her boyfriend Kim Junsu
When Hani was asked on whether hacker and programmer Lee Doo Hee was the matchmaker, the former said, “Yes. I got to know Lee Doo Hee through filming ‘Dream Team.’ Kim Junsu is an avid gamer, and he is good friends with Lee Doo Hee. There was once where Lee Doo Hee saw Kim Junsu looking at one of my videos, and the former told Junsu that he knew me. Junsu then told Lee Doo Hee to tell me that he was a fan of me. EXID′s Hani revealed that her best friend is a big fan of Kim Junsu.Hani appeared on the January 13 broadcast of MBC′s Radio Star, where she said, "Truth be told, (before we started dating) I went to Kim Junsu′s concert. My friend really liked Kim Junsu more than I did."
She continued, "My friend registered for his fan club and would tell me to go to an electronic library to watch his videos."

EXID’s Hani Talks About Her Relationship With JYJ’s Junsu on “Radio Star”
On the recent episode of “Radio Star” on January 13, EXID‘s Hani, Kwak Si Yang, and Hwang Jae Sung appeared on the show.
A lot of attention was on Hani because she recently confirmed her relationship with JYJ‘s Junsu. Even the usually bright Hani seemed quite nervous during this broadcast.
Hani opened up with, “Honestly I was scared,” saying she was sorry towards her members for breaking this news when their career is reaching its peak. “I thought it was rude towards the fans to not say anything, so I decided to appear on this show today.”
Despite the MCs’ sharp questions, Hani remained calm and answered the questions carefully and well. When asked about Junu’s charms, she said, “He’s a respectable person who always has bright energy.”
Hani admitted that she worried a lot before dating Junsu. She didn’t think it was time for her to start dating anyone, but she couldn’t help her heart falling for Junsu who always gave warm advice to her. Hani answered each question honestly and respectfully. It was apparent that she was trying to put the least amount of pressure on Junsu with every question. Hani’s truthful and open-minded behavior made fans very happy.

EXID member Hani was a guest on the January 13 episode of “Radio Star” on which she talked about her relationship with JYJ‘s Junsu.
Hani and Junsu were revealed to be in a relationship early this year (which was after she had confirmed her appearance on “Radio Star”), and being on a talk show, Hani knew she would be asked about Junsu. Hani was nervous, but she calmly and clearly answered the questions of the emcees, showing respect for the show, fans, audience, and Junsu.
Hani discussed how she was introduced to Junsu personally and she revealed that it was celebrity computer programmer Lee Doo Hee who lay the bridge between the two. She knew Lee Doo Hee because they were both on the variety show “Dream Team” and Junsu knew him because of he is friendly with a lot of gamers. Lee Doo Hee caught Junsu watching videos of Hani and he told Junsu that he knew Hani. Junsu then asked Lee Doo Hee to let Hani know that he was a fan of hers and the two began to exchange text messages of support. Hani also went to his musicals and they became closer through conversation.
On what Junsu is like in person, not just someone she is a fan of, Hani described him as the person with the brightest energy she has ever known, saying she really respects him.

Hani confessed during this talk session that she has never actually seen Junsu perform before they started dating. She said, "To be frank, I've never seen him perform live. My friend actually liked him more than I did. My friend registered for his official fan club and even watched his videos at a digital library."
She then shocked the MCs by saying that that same friend is currently her best friend. The MCs wanted to know how the friend reacted when she learned of her relationship with Junsu, and Hani responded, "Honestly, she was a bit upset that her 'Jun-jjang' was taken from her but now she supports us."

Everyone was saying that 'his fashion encompasses all four seasons (as in it's very odd)' but in my eyes, he looks cool."
Hani then gave the behind story on how she got to meet Junsu, explaining that it was all thanks to famous hacker / programmer Lee Doo Hee. Hani said, "I met Lee Doo Hee through 'Dream Team' while Junsu is friends with gamers and computer people. Lee Doo Hee caught Junsu looking at one of my videos. So Doo Hee told Junsu, 'I know Hani.' And Junsu asked Doo Hee to tell me that he's a very big fan of me. Afterwards, we got to talk after I saw his musical," and added, "[Junsu] is a really respectable person. Among all the people I know, he exudes the most bright energy."

On the January 13 episode of 'Radio Star,' Hani confessed that she almost canceled her appearance on 'Radio Star' due to the news of her relationship with Junsu going public.
The MCs told her, "We reached out to Hani on the evening of December 31. The day right after, the articles [about Hani and Junsu] came out. [Your agency] said the topic might be a bit [touchy] and begged for you not to come on today." Hani herself admitted, "I was afraid."
She continued, "The label told me it's better not to mention [the relationship]. But on the sixth, articles about my appearance on 'Radio Star' also came out. I didn't think it was right for me to keep [my relationship] a secret from my fans, so I decided to be honest."
When Kim Gu Ra asked her, "Did [Junsu] agree with your view?" Hani replied, "He said that since 'Radio Star' is a show where someone who may be under controversy can becomes a topic of interest, it'd be best to appear on this show over other programs."

JYJ’s Junsu Wins the Seoul Music Awards “Popularity Award”
JYJ‘s Junsu has claimed the number one spot in popularity at the 25th Annual Seoul Music Awards.
The Seoul Music Awards has kept its voting polls open since November 27, 2015 to yesterday, January 12, 2016. When those votes were tallied, Junsu received 47 percent of the votes and rose to first place.
The fact that Junsu became one of Seoul Music Awards nominees with his solo album released in March of 2015 and yet still managed to win first place without having any TV appearances in a long time shows how great his fandom is.
With two of JYJ members serving in the military, Junsu has been greeting his fans alone. He has continued to promote with his solo album and various musicals.
To thank his fans, Junsu stated, “I will remember every single one of my fans’ hearts who worked hard to make me stand on stage. Thank you so much. I sincerely love you.”

Kim Junsu wins online voting for popularity award for ’25th Seoul Music Awards’
C-jeS Entertainment has announced that Kim Junsu of JYJ has won the popularity award which was determined solely by Korean netizens for the ’25th High 1 Seoul Music Awards,’ with over 46.7 percent of the total votes cast.
Voting was restricted to fans in Korean for this particular popularity award, and was held from November 27th of last year before ending on January 12th. Kim Junsu was nominated for his song ‘Flower’ off his same-titled third full album. Kim Junsu’s mini album ‘Like Yesterday’ which was released last October, also swept music charts in Korea.
This particular award was especially meaningful, as it was voted only by fans in Korea. A C-jeS official said, “Fans have been unable to see Kim Junsu on television and at awards ceremonies for nearly 6 to 7 years due to external pressures. Thus, fans hope to find justice through this popularity award.”
Kim Junsu said through SNS, “I understand the feelings of every fan more than anyone else. To repay everyone for their time and effort to allow the inadequate me to stand on stage, I will use all my effort to keep your sincere hearts in my mind. I’m really thankful for the support. And, I really love you all.”
Meanwhile, the ’25th Seoul Music Awards’ will take place on January 14th at Seoul’s Olympic Gymnastics Arena.

Park Yuchun and Kim So-hyeon worked together as brother and sister in SBS ‘The Girl Who Sees Smells’, which aired last year. A homicide detective who had lost his sense of smell and taste and cannot even feel pain with the shock of a tragic event, Choi Mugak(played by Park Yuchun) is an idiot-for-his-younger-sibling who terribly cherishes his little sister Choi Eun-seol(played by Kim So-hyeon).
Eun-seol gets murdered in an emergency room in the middle of having been hospitalized in a bus crash accident, that Mugak lived with determination to become a homicide detective so he can catch the culprit. We are able to tell this through a retrospective scene where Mugak and Eun-seol sets how much they are between loving brother and sister.
Mugak is extremely happy drawing a heart after seeing his little sister Choi Eun-seol shows off that she received the grand prize in a mathematics competition. He showed his affection for her to the max, saying, “My little sister. You did really well. You are the best, the best. So praiseworthy. Aigoo, my baby”. At this, Eun-seol grumbles, “Am I oppa’s daughter?”; and Mugak conveyed his overflowing love, “You are oppa’s daughter. It is only us two in the world so you are oppa’s daughter. Oppa will give Eun-seol away in marriage, and then I might go get married or not”.
In addition, Mugak had shown his boundless affection while together with Eun-seol, and this reflects Mugak’s earnestness to try to catch the culprit so he could obtain the ability to be more convincing in the drama.
