's Holds Free Hug Event In Costume To Help The Salvation Army's Charity Pot



JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong celebrated Christmas in a very special way!
On December 24, Kim Jaejoong donned a costume of LINE Friends character Brown and held a free hug event with the Salvation Army in Daegu. He stood next to a charity pot with a sign that read, “Get a free hug and make a donation to the Salvation Army’s charity pot.” He is said to have personally planned the event for a month in order to have a special and meaningful Christmas this year.

Kim Jaejoong had fans curious when he teased that he was preparing something special during a Naver V Live broadcast on the same day. He then had online communities chatting up a storm when photos and videos of the day were posted on his agency’s Instagram account.
The videos on C-JeS’s account show Kim Jaejoong in his Brown costume as he interacts with the people of Daegu, dancing to attract people’s attention, hugging kids, and taking photos with people. He was joined by one of his long-time managers, fondly called “Ang Jjang” by Kim Jaejoong and his fans, in a costume resembling the Salvation Army charity pot.
Kim Jaejoong also posted a different photo from the day with the caption, “Good job today.”
A representative of the Salvation Army’s charity pot project stated, “We are sincerely grateful to Kim Jaejoong for working with us to spread such a meaningful and warm expression of love. Thanks to him, we were able to draw more public attention to our project, and the day’s donation drive was more heartwarming than usual.”

In the airplane back to Korea the seat next to me was empty so Minnie sat there with seat belt on. Yeah, she flew business class.

- ’s Legal Battle Comes To An End After 18 Months







Park Yoochun’s court battle of 18 months has come to an end, with the second woman (hereafter referred to as “B”) who claimed she had been sexually assaulted by Park Yoochun receiving a final ruling of not guilty for alleged false accusation and defamation.

Park Yoochun has been in and out of the courtroom since June 2016, after he was accused of sexual assault by four women. The actor and singer was found not guilty on all four counts.

He then pursued legal action against the first woman who claimed he sexual assaulted her; she, as well as the two men that assisted her in blackmailing Park Yoochun, received prison sentences ranging from 18 to 24 months for false accusation and attempted blackmail.

B was also sued for false accusation and defamation, for which she received a ruling of not guilty in both her first and second trials.

Though the prosecution filed for an appeal on the verdict, the supreme court revealed on December 22 that they denied the request, solidifying the not guilty ruling for B and putting an end to an 18-month-long legal battle.

JYJ Yoochun's appeal against 2nd sexual assault accuser denied by court





JYJ Yoochun's appeal against the second woman who accused him of sexual assault has been denied by the court.

Seoul's High Court found the accuser, Ms. Song, not guilty of defamation of character and making false charges this past September, and though Yoochun's side filed an appeal, the court denied the request on December 22. This ends an 18-month legal battle against Ms. Song, who was found not guilty of defamation of character in her previous two trials.

The first woman who claimed Yoochun sexually assaulted her and the two men who was involved in extorting the JYJ member have been sentenced to prison for making false accusations and attempted blackmail.

Yoochun was found not guilty of four counts of sexual assault in December of 2015. allkpop

As soon as the duet songs of Lim Chang-jeong and Kim Junsu (XIA Junsu) were released,
Lim Chang-jeong and Kim Junsu’s ballad duet song ‘We were’ was named to the highest rank of major music source sites including Mnet Chart on the morning of 16th.
Prior to that, Lim Chang-jeong and Kim Junsu released their new song ‘We were’ at 6 pm the day before. ‘We were’ is a song that Kim Junsu joined last February and worked on before joining. He got a lot of attention from the fact that the best ballader played duets together.

Fans of the South Korean singer Kim Jong-hyun were in mourning on Tuesday, a day after he killed himself and left behind a note that said he was overcome by depression, South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported.
Fans of the singer, who was 27 and known by his stage name Jonghyun, flocked to pay their respects or set up vigils on outside of Asan Medical Center in Seoul, where he was taken to the hospital on Monday and pronounced dead, the news agency reported.
The police in Gangnam, where Mr. Kim’s body was discovered by his sister in an apartment, said there would be no autopsy because it seemed “clear that the deceased took his own life.”
Yonhap reported that the singer had sent a text message to his sister saying, “Please let me go. Tell me I did well” and “final farewell.” It also quoted an Instagram post from Jang Hee-yeon, a friend and the lead singer of the rock group Dear Cloud, that said Jonghyun had written to her about his struggles with depression.

“I’m broken from the inside. The depression that has slowly nibbled me away has now devoured me, and I couldn’t overcome it,” he wrote, according to her Instagram post.
The singer also appeared to regret his life in the public spotlight, Yonhap reported. “Becoming famous was probably not my life. They tell me that’s why I’m having a hard time … Why did I choose that? It’s funny that I’m able to endure this much.”
Mr. Kim performed both as a solo artist and with the group SHINee, which exemplified the genre known as K-pop, known for its elaborate choreography, fashionable, skin-baring outfits and different vocal styles.
Fans left messages of condolence and mourning on the SHINee Twitter feed.
“The online community really came together to share their grief,” Jeff Benjamin, the K-pop columnist for Billboard and digital editor for Fuse TV, said in an interview on Tuesday.













Fueled by the rise of social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, K-pop groups have grown in popularity, managing to transcend borders, despite language barriers, to spread in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
In 2011, aspiring singers from 16 countries competed in finals of the K-Pop World Festival competition in the South Korean town of Changwon, a confirmation of how widely their country’s cultural export had spread.
Mr. Kim’s death leaves the loss of an artist unique in the genre. SHINee, founded in 2008 with a rhythm and blues sound, remained unusual because its five members stayed together for so long. “SHINee were the exception to the rule,” Mr. Benjamin said in an interview on Tuesday.
Mr. Kim, unlike many K-pop stars who branch off into multifaceted endeavors such as fashion and acting, remained focused on music as a singer, songwriter and producer, a rare combination in 2008, Mr. Benjamin said.
In 2016, Mr. Kim released a solo album called “She Is,” which Mr. Benjamin described as a “fascinating” range of pop music, including an Elvis-type crooning.
“He had a piercing belt that I would instantly recognize,” Mr. Benjamin said. “It is definitely an accomplished work.”

This year, SHINee toured the United States for the first time. In an interview with CNN in May after performing in Dallas, Los Angeles and Canada, Mr. Kim said:
“We’ve come to the U.S. for fan meets before, but concerts make me a bit more nervous and excited. I hope our fans will be able to make great memories with us through the music and performances we show on stage.”

JYJ's Jaejoong opened up about his feelings on appearing in his first variety show in 8 years.

On the December 18th premiere of the reality variety show 'Photo People', Jaejoong expressed, "I've appeared in a variety show for the first time in 8 years. I'm glad that I get to do it with people I'm comfortable with. I felt a lot of pressure in terms of being on a variety show and taking photographs."

He continued, "It's a completely different world. It's not about taking a lot of photos, I felt that it was important to communicate with each other and bringing my expression together. I got contacted a lot by professional photographers, and my photos were featured in 'Vogue Korea'. I can't even believe it myself, but that's how good my photos were."
