A Year in Review
Let us start with JYJ full of cuteness and adorkableness in the JYJ Calendar 2013

The year began with the news (January 18, 2013) that the Japanese courts have ruled in FAVOR of JYJ and CJES. AVEX (prior company in Japan) has to pay 7.8 million KRW to CJES (JYJ agency) and in addition, pay 1.1 million KRW to CJES CEO (a punishment for defaming CJES CEO).
Essentially, JYJ is now free to resume it's activities in Japan...
But...AVEX appealed.
As we all know...JYJ is still not truly free to promote and do activities in Japan. They are supposed to be but there are still 'invisible' blocks along the way.
But at least, they can hold concerts and sell the albums and show their dramas...
Promotion may still be lacking but JYJ remains popular in Japan no matter what.
And fans have been so loyal and supportive that anything JYJ touches is Golden in Japan.
We have learned recently that CJES/JYJ and AVEX have finally settled the case...
But details have been under wraps (as I am writing this)...Stay tuned...
Kim Jaejoong started his Your My & Mine fanmeeting and mini concerts in January 2013 as well and he was asked by reporters (knowing how popular he is in Japan) if he's going to hold a fm/mini con in Japan now that he can...
He said that he would rather have JYJ come back as a trio first, knowing that fans have been waiting for all three of them...
Sure enough, "The JYJ Return to Tokyo Dome" concerts were announced shortly after that!!!
But more on this epic comeback later on...
***JYJ as Ambassadors***
In February 20, 2013, JYJ was appointed as honorary ambassadors for the 2014 Incheon Asiad Games. JYJ is to help promote the Games through appearances and music video throughout Asia.
And at long last, we get to hear a new JYJ song (albeit a sports event anthem...but we will take it!).
"Only One"
The song and lyrics are meant to inspire the Asian Games athletes and all the supporters...
But the lyrics are very appropriate for JYJ and all JYJ fans as well...

The scheduled Musical Gala performance in Boracay! Philippines have been cancelled due to lingering devastation in the area from typhoon Haiyan...
It has been announced that JYJ will perform at the IAG Opening Ceremony in September 19, 2014.
Whew...that just means that military enlistment is after that...cries in the corner:(
***The South Korean Presidential Inauguration ceremony***
In February 25, 2013, JYJ was invited to perform at the Presidential Inauguration ceremony in front of thousands of people and was gonna be broadcasted all over Korea...Park Geun Hye is the first female president in South Korea.
Does this mean that all of Korean will finally see the 'faceless' singers on TV?
Well...most networks talked over the performance or only showed snippets of the performance or outright not show JYJ at all...ahhhh my heart...

***Honorary Citizens of JeJu Award***
In April 2013, the JeJu Special Governing Province Council of Government Administration and Home Affairs Committee selected JYJ as one of the honorary citizens of JeJu Islands for their contribution on raising awareness of the island and their influence and ability to attract foreign votes for the Seven Wonders of Nature Campaign. On January 20, 2013, JYJ released their "1000th Day Magazine".
The magazine is to commemorate JYJs history from debut to 1000 days after, including their worldwide English Album, World Tour, solo acts, musical appearances, and drama appearances.

Hi Jaejoong ah~ I find it really funny.. to write a letter to myself like this..
It’s embarrassing..^^
At first I thought.. “Let’s write it with a light heart..”
But the moment I wrote “Hi”, it made me look back at many memories of the past and the present image of mine.. First.. if you ask me, “How are you now??” my answer is..
“I’m very happy.” I think I will answer like that.
Looking at “me” who was born as “Kim Jaejoong” with countless memories and who is breathing for now, I feel a great happiness, not as celebrity Kim Jaejoong who is receiving so much love but just as human being Kim Jaejoong.
Uhm… Breathing to live day by day, that feeling itself brings me happiness. That’s my “life”.
From countless mistakes and faults which were repeated over and over so far
From all the good and bad things that you have experienced so far
Ruminate on it and backtrack, step by step live a happier life..
Whatever it was, instead of ‘live in the past’ that you want to erase, live in the present which will become the foundation of a tough but happier life in the future..
I like this “me” of present, who said this cheesy ment ^^ Even though it will be quite funny when I re-read it in the future..
Though you’re “Kim Jaejoong” of the future!! The life that you’re living in.. I hope that you enjoy a meaningful life which will become a great foundation that could deck your future self out.

***Korea Fair Trade Commission Findings***
Yes...we all know SoMeonE was behind all this unfairness and 'closed doors' towards JYJ...
The government has found SM and others guilty back in July 2013 and yet, we are still not seeing JYJ on broadcast TV...
JJ was shown when he performed in the Arirang event but no music or variety show promotions at all...
Junsu was not invited on Radio Star TV program to promote December (the Director and a lead actress were there along with another actor who performs Junsu's role when Junsu is not performing)...still blatant blockage going on...
This audio/video was released by JYJ (July 2013) after the KFTC verdict...
They are appreciative of the fans for standing by them all these trying years...

Whew...That's JYJ 2013 in Review...

Not complete but important events are highlighted...
JYJ promised a JYJ album in 2013 which never came...
But I can understand that schedules are conflicting at times and I would rather have JYJ complete a great album rather than a 'throw away' album just because the fans want the album now.
But I enjoyed all the JYJ moments...from the fun CFs to the movie premiere appearances to the IAG performances to the new song to the Jaestagram appearances to the epic 'Return of The JYJ in Tokyo Dome' concerts...
Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu were busy with individual activities this year as well.
I love that they do what they do. I love their individual stuff...
They grow in talent and confidence and knowledge as they go along...
I believe that JYJ will be together forever.
If for no other reason than because they love their fans so much...

Each member may do their individual activities throughout the year but they will always get together for some events and make albums and do concerts in the coming years...
A lot of the 'cookie cutter' Kpop groups and acts do 'comebacks' like every six months or in less than a year...
What are they coming back for? Were they even away? Were they even missed?
These 'comebacks' are not really comebacks...no quality to these works as well...
Frankly, I do not want a JYJ album every year...I am ok with a great album every 2-3 years with a thorough WORLD TOUR!!! LOL
I want to see Yoochun in dramas and movies.
I want to see Junsu in musicals and his smexy dance moves in his concerts.
I want to see Jaejoong being his sexy rock star self and acting too... And he already sang without a shirt on, who knows, maybe no pants later on...just sayin' and hopin'...lol
JYJ have accomplished so much in the last ten years and they are not done...
In some ways, they have just begun...
Jaejoong has said (about the song 9+1#) that he is happy with what he has accomplished in the first nine years of his career...
and has learned a lot (good and bad).
He remembered trying and working so hard when he first started as an entertainer.
And that he would do anything because he wanted to succeed...
So plus "1" is like starting from the beginning again because he wants to think that he has started from nothing again and feel the hunger and the fight and the drive to be better and moving forward and reach for even higher ("#" sharp note means a key higher on the piano)...
Because they are that talented, JYJ has to move forward and reinvent themselves a little bit in order to keep growing and continue to improve and always be 'better than before'.
