JYJ′s Park Yoo Chun received the Best New Actor award at the 6th Korea Film Reporters Association (KOFRA) Film Awards.
On January 29, Park Yoo chun attended the 6th KOFRA Film Awards at the Korea Press Center in Seoul, where he won the Best New Actor award for his performance in the movie Sea Fog.
Upon receiving his award, Park Yoo Chun said, "After debuting as a
singer, I′ve attended music, drama and movie award ceremonies, but this
is the first award ceremony that I felt that I want to return to. I
think it′s an award ceremony where warm feelings are exchanged back and
forth."
He added, "I was greedy to find the name Park Yoo Chun, not Micky Yoo
Chun, and I think it was the reporters that helped me find that greed.
I′ll work harder so that the name ′actor′ will fit better."
Filming his first movie after 10 years since his debut, Park Yoo Chun acted among veteran actors in the movie Sea Fog, standing his ground with a strong presence.
The KOFRA Film Awards, hosted by the Korea Film
Reporters Association, reviewed a total of 134 films from in and outside
of Korea and selected winners based on the votes of associated
reporters. The Korean Film Reporters Association holds 48 news outlets
and 67 film reporters as members.

Jaejoong’s fan club makes donation

JYJ member Jaejoong’s fan club made a financial donation in his name to mark his birthday.
It was belatedly revealed that the fan club donated 10 million won ($9,160) to Korean charity shop Beautiful Store on Monday.
The money will be added to a scholarship fund, named after Jaejoong, to help high school students from low-income families.
Jaejoong’s fans created the “Kim Jaejoong Boomerang Scholarship Fund” at Beautiful Store in 2011.
They have collected 54 million won and offered financial help to 19 high school students so far.
Jaejoong celebrated his 29th birthday on Monday with over 6,000 fans by holding a fan meeting in Seoul.
The singer-actor currently stars as a covert government agent in KBS drama “Spy” that airs at 9:30 p.m. every Friday.

JYJ's Junsu ditches 'Dracula' hairstyle

Junsu, a member of K-pop trio JYJ, showed off a new combed-back hairstyle on Twitter, Sunday.
The singer, who sported a 1990s-inspired mid-part bowl cut since
October, wore his strawberry blonde hair in an "all-back" (slicked-back)
style.
"I've taken off Dracula and gone for the 'all-back' look for the first
time in a long while!" the 28-year-old wrote in the caption.
Junsu had shown a preference for his previous gothic "Dracula" look since last fall.
The JYJ member wore D-frame sunglasses and a faux fur brick-colored jacket over a black shirt.
The star is slated to release his third solo studio album in March.

JYJ's Jaejoong had a special time with fans on his birthday. On
January 27, C-JeS Entertainment saidm "Jaejoong held fan meeting
entitled '2015 KIM JAE JOONG J-PARY IN SEOUL' at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium
and met 6,000 fans. Jaejoong showed unstinting fan service on this fan
meeting, which received explosive response since its ticket opening as
the tickets were sold out only within 15 minutes." Jaejoong
appeared on stage with the outfit of his drama 'Spy' revealed in the
opening video, and began the show as he changed his clothes in the dress
room. Just like the concept of 'Home Sweet Home', Jaejoong
revealed his natural daily life on stage as he moved to the dress room,
kitchen, studio, and bedroom. A video message from JYJ's
fellow members Yoochun and Junsu to celebrate Jaejoong's birthday also
received fervent response. Yoochun said, "Happy birthday. You must be
busy these day and congratulations for spending a happy birthday party
with fans. It was so good to work together as JYJ last year. Let's spend
more time together." Junsu said, "I think this venue today will be a
big present for everyone. Happy birthday." The highlight of
the fan meeting was the mini concert with songs requested by his fans.
Ahead of this event, Jaejoong held a survey asking fans about the songs
they want to listen to on the fan meeting. It drew much attention as
13,000 fans participated to the event for a single day. When
the instrumental melody of the first requested began, all the fans stood
up and waved their light sticks. Jaejoong sang "One Kiss", "Filled
Within Me", "Paradise" and more, heating up the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium. On
the encore stage, he said, "I was very happy to spend my birthday with
you. I'll always work hard to show you my new features as an actor and
singer. Thank you for always being by my side. Thank you for allowing me
to feel that I'm a happy person." Meanwhile, Jaejoong is currently playing the role of Sunwoo, a genius North Korea data analyst, in KBS Friday drama 'Spy'.

JYJ tops Japanese music chart with new single

K-pop boy group JYJ’s first Japanese single “Wake Me Tonight” topped Japan’s most popular music chart on Tuesday.
The new track reportedly sold 20,609 copies on Wednesday, the day of its
release, rising to the No. 2 spot on Japan’s Oricon daily chart. The
song also topped Japan’s Tower Records and HMV 24 Hours charts last
week.

Though the group, consisting of Yoochun, Junsu and Jaejoong, has always
enjoyed high popularity in Japan, the new single marks the trio’s first
official album release in the country under the Japanese entertainment
agency K-Dash.
Last year, JYJ’s Korean album “Just Us,” which was not officially
released through a distributor in Japan, topped the local charts as
well.
